Has a film ever brought you to tears, made you laugh until your ribs hurts, or seriously made you think about things you may have been hiding away in your consciousness? If so, please join us at the Unakoti Film Festival and help us foster the inside spirit.


                                 Silverscreen is part of Unakoti Film Festival aiming to promote and develop the art of filmmaking. Silverscreen includes screenings of short films, telefilms, documentaries from Tripura and outside of Tripura as well as audiovisual events and exhibitions. Silverscreen aims to travel across borders in order to develop a spirit of friendship and cooperation with filmmakers.

A release from the organizers said submissions of entries for Silverscreen in different                                      categories like feature films, short films, documentaries, animations, music videos and ad films created by local directors are open till June, 20th.

                                            UDBM Films & Media Arts invites all the filmmakers from Tipura, Kachar, West Bengal, Bangladesh & other states to participate at the event Silversceen. Entries have been invited for Silverscreen, to be held at 2nd last day of Unakoti Film Festival. If you are interested in showing the audience your art of seeing, capturing and editing, then this event can make your presence counting!

Registration & Rules

1. Film must be not longer than 15 minutes in length in case of Short Film. 

2. You need to mail your FILM VIDEOS at udbm-udumbhoom@gmail.com or upload the videos on YOUTUBE and send the link, before 20th June; 2017 or submit it in a DVD by hand to event co-ordinator. Selected films will enter the Silverscreen of the event.

3. Each filmmaker must register themselves for particular film.
Registration is free of cost.

4. Producer must indicate on the entry form that the video submission is an entirely original work by his/her team and must grant organizers unrestricted use and reproduction rights for any purposes.

5. Films must be respectful and courteous, and in English, Bengali, Hindi, Kokborok or any local language. You are fully responsible for everything that you submit, and all videos are intended for the general public. Therefore, to protect your own privacy and the privacy of others, do not include personal information such as phone numbers, email addresses in the film.

6. Organizers will not accept videos that are offensive to an individual or an organization, rude in tone, or abusive. Organizers reserve the right to refuse, any of the following:

•  Racist, hateful, sexist, homophobic, slanderous, insulting, or life-threatening content;
•  Serious, unproven, unsupported, or inaccurate accusations against individuals or organizations;
•  Abusive, aggressive, coarse, explicit, vulgar, violent, obscene, or pornographic content;
•  Content that encourages or suggests illegal activity;
•  Announcements, solicitations, advertisements, or endorsements of any organization;
•  Attempts to defame or defraud any individual, group or agency
•  Unintelligible or irrelevant content.
